Safety
Chronic heavy alcohol use has specific hepatic and cardiovascular implications, so pre-treatment evaluation is especially important. General contraindications are assessed individually during screening.

Contraindications
Severe psychiatric conditions
Schizophrenia, severe uncontrolled psychosis, or a history of psychotic episodes require exclusion or specialized evaluation.
Cardiovascular disease
Heart failure, arrhythmias, a recent heart attack, and other cardiac conditions may rule out treatment; each case is reviewed individually.
Hepatic or renal impairment
Cirrhosis, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, and dialysis require rigorous medical evaluation.
Patients undergoing cancer treatment
Ongoing oncological treatment requires individual evaluation and may rule out the protocol; each case is reviewed individually.
Does ibogaine have side effects?
Ibogaine's side effects are most noticeable during Reset Day. Their intensity and combination vary from patient to patient.
Individual manifestation: some of these effects may occur, while other patients may not experience any of them. Even without noticeable symptoms, ibogaine's neurological effects continue to take place.
